How to effectively improve the temperature rise of servo motor?
Check and confirm according to the following steps:
1. Is it used for continuous operation? The characteristics of the servo motor is not suitable for continuous operation, in this case, there will be a higher temperature rise. Please re confirm the action requirements of the mechanism and re evaluate the motor used.
2. Please confirm the action frequency and cycle of the mechanism? If the action frequency of travel stop is too high, it may be activated again before the current drops due to the short stop time of pulse input, so the temperature rise will be higher. It is recommended that you reduce the frequency of action to improve the temperature rise.
3. Can the run current be reduced? When the torque is enough, reducing the run current of the driver can effectively reduce the temperature rise. However, if a larger current must be used due to the torque, it is suggested that you can change the motor to a higher motor and then lower the current to improve the temperature rise.
4. Can the stop current be reduced to improve the situation? When the holding force is enough, the temperature rise can be effectively reduced by reducing the stop current of the driver when the motor stops. However, if a large stop current must be used due to the stop holding force, it is suggested that you can replace the motor with a higher motor and then lower the current to improve the temperature rise.
5. What is the ambient temperature? Is it too high? Motor temperature = ambient temperature + motor temperature rise, so when the ambient temperature is higher, the motor temperature will also be higher. It is recommended to install heat dissipation panel or cooling fan to help heat dissipation.
6. Please confirm whether the wiring of motor terminal is correct? The phase connection error will cause the jitter phenomenon of the motor running smoothly, and may also cause the problem of high temperature rise.
